I can't believe we're already in the third week of the One Room Challenge!
I guess time flies when you're having fun!
I'm happy to report that the stairs are 90% done. The only items to tackle are puttying/painting the nail holes and adding a fresh coat of white paint to the sides.
I have to say, they are quite beautiful even before those final touches.
But before I share what they look like NOW, I have to share how amazing my husband is. He's who I call the muscle of the operation and he kicked butt over the weekend to get them done.
And while he was working outside...
Mini me was drawing right next to him. I'm telling you, this table has been EVERYWHERE in our home during COVID. It's been a workstation during remote learning in my office, in our living room, and in our bedroom. And now it's taking the work outside!
Okay. Now the moment you've all been waiting for. My beautiful stairs!!!!
I absolutely LOVE them. I asked my husband if he could possibly piece together a tutorial (or help me write one) on how the stairs came together. He said he couldn't possibly remember exactly everything he did.
Luckily, we're planning on doing the exact same treatment on the stairs within the addition. So, I'll be following my husband's every move and documenting the progress for a tutorial within the coming months!
Now onto entry way news. Not a lot to report, but there's some good news and some bad news. The good news is that my pillow and rug were delivered!
The bad news is that the hooks I initially selected are no longer for sale :(. Oh well. It's back to the drawing board on those.
That's the scoop on my One Room Challenge journey for now. As a reminder, you can check out the progress of all the participants here.
Until next time...
- Angela :)
